Measure the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.

Measure around the base of the neck without pulling the tape tight.

Measure along the back from the base of the neck to the start of the tail while your dog stands on all four legs.

No tape measure? Use a shoelace, mark the length, then measure it with a ruler or tape.
